Prom Dress Exchange on Saturday, January 29th from 10am 2pm in the High School cafeteria. After Prom volunteers will do the work and sell your dresses for you. Any senior planning to attend Eastern Illinois University and planning to major in Technology or Career and Technical Education please make sure and check out the Carolyn A Forbes Centennial Scholarship and the Lillian R. Greathouse Scholarship. Information on both can be found on EIU's website in the School of Technology.

 

Are you a student with an interest in Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era? If so, please see your history teacher or Mrs. Letterly for information on how to apply for the Verna Ross Orendorff Scholarship. The student whose essay is selected will receive a $1,000 check and be honored at the Illinois History Symposium Banquet in April. Deadline to apply is February 15th, 2011.

 

Attention Sophomores: Career Day will be held on March 8th, 2011 at Lincoln Land Community College. Students who attend will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from over 50 career fields. Some career pathways present will be Agriculture, Arts & Communications, Business, Healthcare, Human Services, Engineering, as well as the Military. Interested sophomores must sign up in the Guidance Office by the end of the day on Monday, January 31st. Students not signed up by the deadline will not be allowed to attend on March 8th- no exceptions.
